Welcome
The Belle Toute Lighthouse Preservation Society has been
formed as the original Trust has now been dissolved.
It was our intention to raise enough money to buy the old
lighthouse to open it as a visitor centre and bed and
breakfast accommodation.
Unfortunately we lost out to a private
buyer although we are pleased that they too have the
same intention as we did. Although this is a
profit making venture rather than a charitable trust,
it does at least mean that the public have the
opportunity of visiting such an amazing building.
This website is provided as an information resource for
everything relating to Belle Toute and it is maintained
by volunteers for the public.

Pharology (named after Pharos, the famed lighthouse of
Alexandria) is the study of lighthouses and signal
lights. Those who study lighthouses are known as
pharologists
